Our pets are a member of our family. If you are like me, when our dog or cat become ill, we will do everything we can to help them recover. With the rising cost of Veterinarian visits and procedures, they can have drastic effects on our budgets. Fortunately many carriers and agency are offering Pet Insurance to help with those bills. What is Pet Insurance? It is Health Insurance for your pet.

What does it cover? There are two type of coverage.

The first being Accident & Illness. This covered Injuries, Accidental Death, Illnesses, Ingestion of a foreign object, Behavioral Therapy, Alternative medicine, and Hereditary & Congenital conditions.

The Second coverage includes everything above and your pet's annual examinations, flea & tick prevention, dental cleaning, Boosters & vaccinations, Heartworm tests & prevention, and prescribed vitamin supplements.

Just like your Health Insurance, you can select Reimbursement options of 70%, 80%, or 90% and yearly deductibles of $250, $500, or $1,000 and a maximum payout of $5,000, $10,000 or $15,000.
